
After winning the third game of a three-game series against El Paso Montwood 11-0, Dragon Baseball is headed to the quarterfinals.
While they lost the first game 4-1, the Dragons came back strong. Shutting out El Paso Montwood in a 10-0 win, the team stole nine bags during the game and pitcher Griffin Herring recorded 12 strikeouts.
And in the third must-win game, the team dominated with another shut-out win against El Paso Montwood while recording 13 hits on the day.
Taking on Odessa-Permian in a three-game series, the Dragons will play the first game on Friday at Lubbock Cooper HS at 7:30 p.m.
The second game will again take place at Lubbock Cooper HS on Saturday at 12 p.m. Should a third game be necessary, it will start 30 minutes after the second game finishes.
Ticket and broadcast information for the series has yet to be released.
