Kentucky Science Center hosting ‘spooky’ events for adults

The Kentucky Science Center is using Halloween as a catalyst to get adults interested in science.”Eat, drink and do spooky science” is being hosted at the science center on Oct. 21.”We’ll be teaching you how Foley artists create sound effects for movies,” said Amy Parish with the Kentucky Science Center. “We’ll be talking about how makeup artists create spooky makeup effects. And we’ll also have some creepy crawlies here from the Herpetological Society and from Idle Wild butterfly farm.”They will also be celebrating the impact of black filmmakers and actors in horror movies. There will be movies on Friday nights, starting this Friday with “Horror Noire.”Tickets for the movies are just $5 and tickets for the main event are $50. Tickets for either event can be found here.
