James Poskett is an historian who’s challenging the way we look at some of history’s most celebrated scientists including the likes of Charles Darwin and Albert Einstein.

He says the idea that modern science was invented in Europe is a myth.

In his latest book, Horizons – a global history of science, he identifies other lesser-known people from across Africa, America, Asia, and the Pacific including slaves, whose contribution to science have been neglected.
